What lurks beneath the surface in our fresh water pond? Giant water snails? Tadpoles, Fish? Or something more exciting…. Using nets and inspection trays participants can search the pond to see what they can find and identify them using habitat sheets.
Participants have the opportunity to learn about eco systems, habitats and life cycles in a fun and informative way with the chance of finding the mysterious Moor House Pond Insect…
After an initial safety briefing participants will be given a talk about how to catch the insects and animals without hurting them and without damaging the habitats. Participants will then be involved in discussions about the various eco systems, flora and forna and life cycles before moving on to the activity where they will be supported throughout.
