Introduction

What lurks beneath the surface in our fresh water pond? Giant water snails, tadpoles or fish? Or something more exciting? Using nets and inspection trays, search the pond to see what you can find.

Session overview

After an initial safety briefing participants will be given a talk about how to catch the insects and animals without hurting them and without damaging the habitats. Participants will then be involved in discussions about the various eco systems, flora and fauna and life cycles before moving on to the activity where they will be supported throughout.
